Finally I secured my world cup spot!

Hi, maybe you caught on my Facebook over the weekend, maybe not. At the last race I managed to make a new point in my career, plus I secured a place in the World Cup for the next year! I say honestly, I have not even hoped for a very unsuccessful season, but eventually it did succeed ...
After the races in the Idre Fjall in Sweden, we spent 4 days in Are, where we mainly relaxed and one day weed. On Thursday morning we went north to Skelleftea, where we were waiting for Swedish national championships. Upon arrival, we were surprised to see what a great event is going on here. We knew there were going to be races here in the slopeystyle and big air, but there was a lot more. Whether cross-country skiing, jumping on snow scooters, taekwondo, judo up to the rally cross on the snow and much more :)
The whole event came bigger than the world championships and there was a great atmosphere. Each race was also broadcast live on TV and did not miss the audience on the spot. Names in Slovakia can only dream of something like this. Can you imagine that all sports have a Slovak Championship in one place in a week and everything would broadcast RTVS live? Good joke, I know. In skicross we do not even have MSR :)
Let's go to the race. Friday night we had training under artificial lighting. It was due to the fact that there were many sports disciplines and this was the only time for us to practice. The track was also very well prepared for the light, so it did so without any problems. The only problem was that we had arrived at the hotel after twenty evenings and it was still necessary to do skiing, stretching, evening and sleeping. So I went to bed for about midnight.
Luckily, we had a tour to 11:30 on the next day, so I slept well enough (except for coaching during the whole night). I was quite nervous since morning, I knew that there was a big chance at superstars in this race, which was my goal. The qualifi cation did not work out perfectly, down to the jump I decided a lot, and it was also a time. I ended on the 8th of May, but at the same time I knew that it did not mean much in the final, as the starting gate did not make any difference. The qualification ended about 13th and the final was on the program until 16:00 (due to TV transmission). So waiting for 3h waiting ...
Frankly, it was probably my longest 3h life. I was probably not stressed this way (maybe last time before graduation :)). But when I came to the start and began to rehearse, the nervousness gradually subsided. Only 16 people qualified to the final, so it started in the quarterfinals. I guess I guessed about my best start and I got to the finish line first. Let me tell you, I was very famous here because I knew I was going to end up on the worst on the 8th month, which guaranteed me at least 100 FIS points. But I wanted to go further and I believed in the semifinals. I had strong opponents, but I knew I could take them down.
The start was quite ok but my mistake came at the first jump. I've been a bit higher than I did, and it immediately took my position. I got to the 4th place. At the second jump I was a bit short and I started to lose. The track was very short, she was just 30s, so I knew my dream of a big final was over. But I wanted a good placement so I fought to the end. In the small final I had the worst gate, but again I did a good start and I took second place. So I got to the finish and it was a total of six.
I was happy, I know it will be at least 125 FIS points. The first thing I did was I went back to the start where I had a cell phone and looked at how many points I was in the 6th place. And it was a great 144 points! I was happy because I knew I had achieved the goal of this season and the goal I had been trying for 3 years. I have a place in the world cup for the next season :)
I sincerely say, I was considering the end of my career this season. I did not do any good in the European Cup. I scored the ball, but it was not by accident what I expected. So it came at twelve o'clock ... To 90% that was my last race this season as I'm done and I'm really tired. Throughout the winter I have gone through 24 races and many travels. I still have a bit of a race in my head that will be in April, but more sensible will probably be to relax and start with the conditioning preparation as early as possible. On this journey from Sweden, I feel like a beaten dog. The first and last time I went to Sweden by car! The journey was still there, but the journey back to Ramsau lasted 27 hours! Our delivery almost made me alive :)
Now, the most difficult task is waiting for me, starting to get funding for preparation and the whole next winter. In the world cup it is without a chance without a serviceman (a person who prepares skis) or a physiotherapist. All of this, of course, enormously increases costs, so I believe that the finances will move in the right direction ... Waiting for me in the next few days of relaxation (understand work) :)
